Job Description

The Operations and Risk unit in M (MR) is the hub of all operations supporting our Trading and Origination activities, and Asset Management for Europe & US.  The department is responsible for all processes and operations in the Back Office Europe & US, Risk Management, New Products & Investment Support, and the Digitalization Office for supporting our Trading & Origination activities. The responsibility of the unit is to ensure accurate and high-quality results in all operational activities to support Statkraft’s growth ambitions.

The mission of the Digitalization Office is to create value for Statkraft T&O by providing state-of-the-art digital solutions to MT (Trading), MO (Origination), MR (Operations & Risk) and MF (Finance), with a strategic and professional interface towards IT.  Digital solutions include systems and solutions, but also data and data governance.

In our Global Customer Platform team (MRDC), we are now looking for a colleague to take a role of Product Owner for our Data Integration & Tools solutions. The team is responsible for owning customer business systems in the Continental and UK markets, as well as CRM solutions globally. The team currently consists of 12 colleagues and will be ramping up further to cover a larger scope of solutions going forward.

The unit works in close partnership with the Trading & Origination, Operations & Risk and Finance departments. In addition, it provides an essential strategic partnering bridge towards the IT department.

We are looking for an experienced Product Owner who can drive continuous improvement of processes and tools in close collaboration with our internal stakeholders in Trading & Origination, Back Office, internal IT and external vendors. As a Product Owner in our team you will: 

  • Be responsible for the Data Integration & Tools (DIT) service strategically, tactically and operationally.
  • Engage closely with business stakeholders, decipher their processes, and lead the design efforts for solution concepts. Implement changes and new features within agreed-upon timelines.
  • Harmonize agile Scrum practices with the structured requirements of classic waterfall projects. Blend agility with precision.
  • Collaborate with business owners and super-users to construct a long-term roadmap that aligns with strategic ambitions.
  • Cultivate an optimal IT ecosystem for Statkraft. Prioritize and align with other product owners to ensure seamless integration.
  • Conduct overarching coordination for project involvement. Drill down into sprint planning, ensuring synchronized progress.
  • Drive innovative process and system designs, balancing cost control and quality enhancement. Uphold our IT guidelines and policies.
  • work cloesly with the development team, infusing technical goals into sprint planning. Facilitate value-driven sprints.
  • Decode end-user preferences and requests. Tailor our agile methodology based on results and internal feedback.
  • Keep track of industry trend, guiding Statkraft toward the cutting edge.

Qualifications

Essential Qualifications 

  • Hold a relevant university degree in Engineering, Economics, Accounting, Business Administration, Computer Science, or a similar field.
  •  Experienced as a Product Owner for IT products.
  • Good knowledge and experience with data-based business processes.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective cross-team collaboration with the power to influence decisions.
  • Strong communication skills in English and German, both written and spoken.
  • Work with a customer- and user-oriented mindset.

Preferred Skills (Nice-to-Have) 

  • Familiarity with Python.
  • Experience within the Salesforce ecosystem.
  • Knowledge of agile practices.
  • Comfortable with SQL.
  • Bonus points if you’ve worked in the energy industry.
  • Experience with processing and exchanging large amounts of data via APIs, interfaces, and legacy solutions.
