Job Description

Digitalisation Energy Management (MED) unit supports the Energy Management (ME) business owners in managing the business requirements for the IT systems on behalf of ME, with a professional interface towards IT. Furthermore, the unit supports the commercial energy management process with automation, analysis, structuring and pricing, and by providing an algorithmic trading infrastructure. MED creates significant value for Statkraft and its customers by delivering next generation digital solutions in Energy Management. The unit’s responsibility requires an in-depth understanding of the business processes and system landscape in ME.

Renewables Forecasting team (MEDF) owns the renewables production forecasting process end-to-end for Wind and Solar portfolios in all European markets. This includes input/output data management, forecast vendor management and creation of meta forecast. They own the quality and budget so that the highest commercial benefit is realised.

We are looking for an experienced specialist that will help shape Statkraft's digital future through driving continuous improvement of tools and processes in close collaboration with our analytical, operational, and technical units. You will play a vital role in managing and enhancing the renewables forecasting service of your department for Statkraft’s European short-term renewable production forecasts. In this role you will:

  • Manage implementations on the IT platform, e.g. new data flows, monitoring tools
  • Be responsible for contract and vendor management towards renewables forecasting service providers including budget related decision-making
  • Run vendor selection and trial processes across multiple European markets
  • Manage incidents and follow-up towards external service providers and internal IT
  • Translate and follow-up the change requests of Stakeholders towards internal IT as well as external vendors and fulfil business requirements resulting in customer satisfaction
  • Work closely with the analysts to continuously improve the quality of forecasting data and effectively manage vendor performance
  • Deliver on the technical roadmap using agile methodology ensuring the deliverables are realized according to time and quality
  • Contribute to the development of inhouse energy production forecasts, data quality algorithms and forecast monitoring solutions

Qualifications

  • University degree in engineering, natural sciences or business
  • Few years of experience in contract and vendor management  
  • Experience in energy business / forecasting preferred
  • Good process understanding with focus on IT infrastructure and dataflows
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills in a result-driven and dynamic environment
  • Strong external communication and cross team collaboration skills
  • Excellent communication in English is a must
