Job Description
The Salesforce Platform Administrator II provides advanced Salesforce system administration and platform support for agencies and departments across the State of Tennessee. This role supports small to medium-sized enhancements, user setup and security, and ongoing administrative needs across 11 statewide Salesforce orgs utilizing Public Sector Solutions, Experience Cloud, Service Cloud, and Sales Cloud.
The Administrator II ensures configuration and platform activities follow STS standards, governance processes, and security requirements. The position works closely with agency stakeholders, vendor partners, and internal Salesforce org owners to maintain stable, secure, and high-performing solutions.
Roles and Responsibilities :
- Provide daily Salesforce administrative support, including user provisioning, profile and permission management, and security configuration.
- Implement small to medium-sized enhancements, including page layout updates, flows, process automation changes, and minor data model adjustments.
- Monitor and maintain data quality, including duplicate prevention, data hygiene, and validation activities.
- Support functionality across Salesforce orgs using Public Sector Solutions, Experience Cloud, Service Cloud, and Sales Cloud.
- Troubleshoot user issues and escalate complex concerns as appropriate.
- Collaborate with agency partners to gather business requirements and translate them into Salesforce configuration tasks.
- Assist with release management, including sandbox preparation, testing coordination, and deployment support.
- Ensure compliance with STS security, governance, documentation, and audit requirements.
- Work with vendor teams and internal Salesforce teams to maintain consistency and alignment across orgs.
- Update and maintain reports and dashboards based on agency needs.
- Stay informed on Salesforce releases and recommend platform improvements where appropriate.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of professional-level experience in Salesforce administration.
- Experience in public sector environments or multi-org Salesforce environments is preferred.
- Salesforce Certified Administrator certification required.
- Salesforce Certified Advanced Administrator certification required or must be obtained within the required timeframe.
