Job Description

The Starschema Talent Acquisition team currently consists of four people: a VP of Talent Acquisition, three Recruiters — and you’ll be our first Sourcer.

We are growing at an intense rate, meaning you’ll be handling sourcing activities ideally for 4-5 vacancies at a time, including pre-screening and interview scheduling. You’ll be a key member of the talent acquisition team with a focus on providing exceptional sourcing methods and candidate experience. 

Even though we’re a TA team, it doesn’t mean that we only do recruitment-related stuff all day. You’ll get to take part in other activities too, such as organizing meetups, helping out with employer branding, brainstorming social media content, etc.

You’ll also get to choose between multiple career options: you can become a Sourcing Expert or begin your journey in end-to-end recruitment.

What you’ll do:

  • Act as an ambassador of the company — proactively reach out to candidates, find them wherever you can and approach them with our opportunities. Since our job ads contain the salary range, candidates will be more likely to talk to you, so you won’t have to waste your time going back-and-forth with them (We know the struggle all too well: you ask ”What’s your expected salary?" only to hear back ”What’s your range?”)
  • Schedule screening interviews, chat with candidates, mostly do phone/video screenings to find the very best talents who fit Starschema and conduct calls with them where they can also show off their skills.
  • Draft impactful job ads. Transparency is crucial for us, which means you’ll get to write job ads that are 100% honest.
  • Collaborate with Hiring Managers and the Talent Acquisition Group — it’s essential to understand the requirements of each open position. We’d like you to be an active participant in kick-off meetings and feel free to ask any questions.
  • Track our growth, prepare regular and ad hoc recruitment reports and monitor Hungarian labor market trends, providing market insight to support recruitment efforts.

 

Qualifications

What we’re looking for:

  • You have 0,5-1 year of experience in sourcing (either at an agency or on the corporate side).
  • You believe in personalized communications, looking at a candidate’s profile in detail so you can learn as much as possible about them and tailor your messages to their individual needs.
  • You’re organized and independent. It’s very important for us that all candidates receive regular updates and feedback, with each one of them kept in the loop about their applications — and this will be your responsibility entirely.
  • You speak fluent English and Hungarian.
  • You take initiative and always strive for more. You keep up with the latest trends and can make recommendations about how to do recruitment better, cheaper and faster.

If the following apply to you, we’d especially love to talk to you (but don’t worry if they don’t):

  • Experience in recruitment for technical roles such as software developers, data engineers, data scientists.
  • Experience using recruitment KPIs and effectively improving them.
  • You like to kick back with your colleagues during a coffee break.

Home Office: We work two days from the office and three days from home – but we don’t check it, we don’t track it and we don’t decide which days you choose. We trust that you are the best judge of when and where you’re most effective. But we’d still like to meet you every now and then, because we believe in in-person relationships and ”watercooler conversations.”

Start date: As soon as possible – but if the right person comes along, we're willing to wait for you until you finish your notice period in your current workplace. 

Salary range. We believe in open communication and no BS. For this role, depending on your experience and level of expertise, in the case of medior level the salary range is between gross 500.000 - 600.000.

Selection process

  1. First, there will be a phone screening with one of our Recruiters, Dominik.
  2. Second, you will be invited to an in-person interview with the VP of Talent Acquisition team and one of the HRBPs. At the end of the interview, you will get the chance to meet the rest of the TA team.
  3. Then you will get to meet some of the Hiring Managers as well. It is very important that you get to meet the people whom you'll be working the most with.
