What You Will Do Daily

• Actively support the client throughout the BI project lifecycle
• Participate in the requirements gathering, design and implementation of BI solutions
• You will make reports, dashboards
• Help formulate business metrics and KPIs
• Learn enough about the client's business domain to understand the use cases
• Drive UATs and give live demos
• Prepare documentation
• Daily communication with stakeholders, project managers
• Work together with other functional teams like data engineers, business analysts, BI developers
• Try and identify potential problems, risks (e.g. data quality, poor specification, etc) and take initiative to indicate them on the appropriate forums
• Help prepare technical parts of proposals

We Want to Hear from You, If… 

Technical Skills:

• You have solid Power BI expertise, not just as BI tool, but as ecosystem
• Advanced DAX and SQL expertise
• Solid understanding of ETL processes, relational databases, and data modeling
• You have solid, overall understanding of the Azure Data Platform (Data Factory, Azure SQL DB, Cosmos DB, Stream Analytics, Azure Cognitive Services etc.) and traditional Microsoft data stack such as SQL Server Reporting Services, SQL Server Analysis Services, SQL Server Integration Services
• 5+ years of experience in business intelligence
• Experience with Power Platform tools, such as PowerApps, PowerAutomate is a big plus!

Soft Skills:

• Confident in written and spoken English
• Able to communicate across a diverse organization
• College or university degree (or equivalent work experience)
• Excellent communication skills
• Flexibility
• Confidence to demonstrate professional skepticism and challenge client requirements, communicate limitations as expected from a consultant
• Comfortable working in teams
• Ability to prioritize
• Keep up to date with the latest business intelligence trends

Some Further Practical Details

• Start Date: The sooner the better, but if you currently work somewhere and have a notice period, it is still fine, we will wait for the right person!
• Home office now: Right now, we are working from home, going to the office is optional. Probably in the beginning, it would make sense for you to come at least a couple of days per week, but this is up to discussion once we get started. 
• Compensation range: The range for this role is approximately gross 760 000 - 1 080 000 HUF per month. The final amount in your offer will depend on your expertise and professional experience. 

Selection Process

1.       Phone conversation with one of our HR BPs – We will briefly talk about your motivation and experience and we will switch to English for a few questions and ask about your compensation expectations.

2.       Online test via Hackerrank - You will have to fill out our SQL test that takes 1.5 - 2 hours.

3.       Video interview with the experts on the team. They will tell you more about the Data Viz role at Starschema, and you will also talk about your professional background.
