Trainee Technical Sales Consultant Jobs in Orpington at Stannah - Join Our Team!
This is a great opportunity for someone who is wanting to progress into a sales role.
We are seeking a Trainee Technical Sales Consultant who is motivated and technically minded. This Trainee Sales Job will focus on minor repairs. This job is pivotal in maintaining and enhancing the reliability and safety of customer equipment portfolios.
In this position, you will contribute directly to the ongoing development of our Goods Lifts, Stairlifts and Access Lifts service offering, helping to strengthen and grow the branch’s portfolio through both sales’ activity and long‑term customer retention.
You will support our clients by identifying opportunities for minor repairs, preparing accurate quotations and securing orders for both reactive and proactive work.
This role is based at our Orpington Service Branch Office, but you will also travel to customer sites, other branches and additional locations as required. Building strong working relationships will be central to your success, as such a full driving Licence will be needed.
Working Hours: Monday - Thursday: 8am - 4.15pm and Friday: 8am -3.45pm
Trainee Technical Sales Consultant Responsibilities:
- Proactively identify and engage customers to secure maintenance contracts, renewals and minor repair opportunities.
- Build strong relationships with key customers and manage renewal conversations as contracts or warranties approach expiry.
- Carry out site surveys and technical assessments, producing accurate quotations, proposals and tender documents.
- Maintain organised records of all activity and provide regular updates to the Branch Manager.
- Work safely across the Service Branch area, travelling as required and promoting the Stannah brand with professionalism.

Qualifications
Trainee Technical Sales Consultant Requirements:
- Computer knowledge, particularly of MS Office
- Excellent communication skills
- Degree or equivalent, with postgraduate business qualifications desirable.
