Job Description

  • To optimise key aspects related to the Distribution / Client Coverage network for PPB AR in alignment with client value propositions i.e., optimising physical infrastructure including ATM, Agency Banking, with a focus on cost optimisation, determining the optimal shape and size of Distribution, and driving migration to digital platforms. Create strategic direction to drive initiatives to increase sales for targeted clients and moving from cost of service to cost of sales.
  • • Lead the execution of Commercial Banking strategy through clearly defined coverage plans, portfolio objectives and client-growth initiatives.
  • • Translate strategic goals into measurable business plans, financial targets and sales activities across Commercial Banking teams.
  • • Drive profitable growth through acquisition of target clients, increased wallet share and deeper penetration of existing relationships.
  • • Deliver revenue, profitability, deposits, assets, foreign exchange revenue and non-interest revenue objectives.
  • • Establish performance scorecards and accountability frameworks for coverage teams and monitor execution against budget and strategic objectives.
  • • Lead senior engagement with strategic clients and provide executive sponsorship for priority client relationships.
  • • Ensure relationship managers develop and execute robust client relationship plans that deepen commercial engagement and improve client retention.
  • • Drive integrated solutioning by coordinating lending, transactional banking, trade finance, foreign exchange, treasury, insurance, cash management and digital banking capabilities.
  • • Ensure effective collaboration with Product, Operations, Credit, Risk and Support functions to deliver seamless customer experiences.
  • • Lead pricing discipline and optimise relationship economics within approved governance and pricing frameworks.
  • • Provide leadership across credit origination, portfolio reviews, transaction structuring and portfolio optimisation initiatives.
  • • Manage portfolio risk through proactive identification of emerging risks, concentration exposure, watchlist accounts and impairment trends.
  • • Ensure compliance with all internal policies, regulatory requirements, AML/CFT requirements, sanctions obligations, KYC standards and conduct expectations.
  • • Review audit findings, assurance reports and risk assessments and implement sustainable remediation actions.
  • • Maintain effective business continuity, operational resilience and first-line risk management practices.
  • • Champion adoption of digital solutions, CRM platforms, management information tools and sales effectiveness initiatives.
  • • Build high-performing teams through coaching, succession planning, leadership development and talent management.
  • • Lead employee engagement, performance management and capability development across the Commercial Banking coverage franchise.
  • • Represent Commercial Banking in governance, credit, risk, performance and management forums.
