Job Description
The Transactional Banker forms part of the Wealth portfolio which serves as the single point of contact in solutioning for the complex needs of our Wealth clients.
The role requires a solid understanding of Transaction Banking solutions and the ability to analyze existing client portfolios to identify opportunities for revenue retention, upselling, and cross-selling. It involves conducting client analytics, understanding client needs within Cash, Trade, or Investor Services solutions, and collaborating with internal product, implementation, and service teams to deliver appropriate banking solutions.
The individual serves as a point of contact for clients, assisting in managing relationships, addressing concerns, and ensuring successful implementation of solutions. They are responsible for preparing client proposals and pitches, maintaining accurate client information in Salesforce, managing deal pipelines, and monitoring revenue performance against plans. A strong focus is placed on client satisfaction, commercialization of products, and achieving sales and revenue targets.
Qualifications
Advanced Diploma/Bachelor’s Degree NQF 7 in banking related fields (Commerce, Finance, etc)
Additional Information
Experience:
- 3-5 years’ experience.
- Experience in sales, service, relationship management, credit applications and financial acumen (i.e., proven sales track record in the financial services industry.)
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyses and understands existing clients, looking for ways to maintain revenue within allocated portfolio
- Review and analyse the client portfolio to identify potential upsell opportunities.
- Acts as the primary contact for on-going client concerns, negotiations and prioritization, ensuring all deal pipeline deadlines are met to enable accurate projections. Communicates with the deal team, and captures commercial terms and mandates on the system.
- Manage all implementation documentation requirements to meet time deadlines (solutions set as part of the solution framework)
- Prioritise and manage own work to deliver assigned tasks and take responsibility for own development and career progression to consistently deliver work and meet agreed targets.
