Job Description
To operate and provide support on Credit Operations and reporting. Officer, Credit Operations Support & Reporting is responsible for the loan book administration and regulatory & functional credit reporting on the portfolio.
Ensuring prompt and accurate Credit Fulfilment for banking facilities - Adhere to policies, processes, standard operating procedures, and working instructions to ensure work is carried out in a controlled and consistent manner.
Loans Administration for New and Existing facilities on Finacle and ACBS. Check Terms and Conditions for new facilities from Facility Agreements and other relevant legal documents, prepare drawdown sheet for approval by Credit Operations Support Manager “COSM”.
Ensure that Business provide correct customers instructions, and liquidity available prior to disbursement of funds on core banking system. Ensure that necessary sign offs are held prior to drawdowns on new Facilities. Load limits for overdrafts and open loan accounts and set all parameters including repayment profile on core banking system once approvals are held.
Disbursement of facilities - Diarise repayment profile to monitor incoming funds for repayment of principal and interests on loans. Diarise fees due such as commitment/arrangement/facility fees. Ensure all fees are collected. Follow up with Loans Admin team SA, for all disbursement / repayments / movement of funds for IB loans sitting on ACBS. Follow up for inwards and outwards funds relating to IB LOANS sitting on ACBS (DATA STORE AND NOSTRO). Ensure no breaks in internal accounts (IDCASH) for IB loans sitting on ACBS. Monitor utilisation of Limits for all customers having off balance facilities, multi products and multi currencies.
Attend to requests for LCs and Bank Guarantees from Trade Services and check if within limit approved, otherwise advise on limits available. Attend to requests for Uncommitted Short-Term Loans from Business, ensure that Business have provided correct customers’ instructions, and liquidity available prior to disbursement of funds on Finacle. For rollover of STL, advise whether in accordance with terms of facility letters, and effect disbursement on Finacle. Ensure instructions to rollover received from Business and rate has been confirmed by Treasury. Attend to requests for import loans from Business, handle account opening, load parameters and set pricing followed by disbursement on Finacle.
Follow up and load extensions / new review dates for overdrafts at each month end. Other maintenance on overdrafts and loans, temporary facilities, repricing and other administrative operations.
Ensure an efficient and effective Collateral Management Process - Ensure that all documents bear the required number of signatures, bank seal affixed, client signature authenticated, in cash collateral agreement account has been filled in. Copies filed. Originals are handed over to COSM. Update the collateral schedule in file Collate on common folder. Update Collateral Register. Maintain and update the Collateral SharePoint with relevant legal documentation received from clients and internal stakeholders such as Legal, Business, etc.
Ensure timely and accurate submission of credit returns - Ensure that Head office reports, CIB Credit Finance and regulatory returns are submitted accurately and timely. Reporting also includes for the new BCB segment.
Ensure the DI credit reports (relates to full listing of loan and advances with exposures, limits, risk grades, maturities, sectors, etc) are collated, maintained and updated on a monthly basis.
Deliver and ensure Regulatory Returns (Monthly, Quarterly and Yearly) and functional reporting are accurately and timely delivered in accordance with set timelines (Central Bank reporting – RBS, MIS, SA and Finance).
As and when required, prepare and submit reports for Credit Risk Management Committee, Country EXCO, Country Board Committees. Prepare monthly, quarterly and half yearly reports and submit to COSM for review. Access relevant systems, extract information and populate information in correct template ( Prepare Bulk Input Template for impairment computation – IFRS on first business day of each month, weekly monitoring of Cash collateral / share pledges, maintain insurance diary, and monitor / follow up for receipt of renewed coverage, prepare audit confirmations, statement of balances, follow up for registration of charge documents, reconciliation of Credit-Finance figures, BIZWISE attestation, RAFA, unsecured advances, BA 610, revocable/ I\irrevocable facilities, general provision, collateralised deposit, maintain CIS, attend to queries / requests for information and reports from external auditors, attend to client queries / requests for information received through Business teams.
Mauritius Credit Information Bureau (MCIB) reporting which entails preparation of daily report to be submitted to the Regulator, verification of daily acknowledgment file, submission of MCIB fortnightly report to the Regulator and carrying out monthly reconciliation of Regulators’ database.
Ensure collaboration within the Credit team and with cross-functional teams - Build trusted relationships with internal stakeholders, assist Credit Managers in the day-to-day administration of the credit portfolio. Actively participate in various Forums namely Global Specialised Lending Forum, IFC, Data Forum, etc.
Investigate queries from clients, internal and external parties, working closely with relevant stakeholders to identify the cause and resolve timely to eliminate any P&L impact.
Escalate and work closely with IT to ensure issues encountered on Finacle and other systems are promptly resolved. Participate in all new products testing on Finacle.
Embrace Automation/ Digitisation mindset - Use tools available to develop automated reports. Existing tasks to be automated as far as possible and maintained up to date with new technologies. Ready to question existing processes and bring new ideas for more efficiencies and participate in bank’s innovative programs.

Credit Risk experience required
Minimum 3-4 years banking experience in a similar role.
Sound knowledge of banking product and systems and the operation thereof
Broad knowledge of applicable Acts and Bank Manuals.
