Job Description
- NOTE: This role does not offer Relocation or Sponsorship. Applicants must be eligible to work in Isle of Man.
- This role is a 6-month Fixed Term Contract
To enable the execution of Compliance Monitoring plans, processes and activities across dedicated areas of a Business Unit, in-line with the Group Monitoring Framework and standards to ensure the effective identification and reporting of Compliance risks and cases of non-compliance, to avoid operational losses, fines, penalties or reputational damage to the organisation and enable competitive advantage for the organisation.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualification:
- First Degree in Audit
- First Degree in Business Commerce
- First Degree in Legal
Experience Required :
- 5 - 7 years experience in Compliance Risk Management
- The role requires a specialist in Compliance Advisory and Monitoring with a sound knowledge of the relevant regulatory requirements and upcoming developments applicable to a specific business area as well as a solid understanding of banking policies, products and activities. Ability to take the understanding of business needs and operations and to translate it into Compliance risk management solutions.
Key Outputs:
- The role requires a recognised AML/CFT assurance specialist with advanced knowledge and practical experience in anti-money laundering, countering the financing of terrorism, sanctions compliance, customer due diligence, enhanced due diligence, transaction monitoring, suspicious activity reporting, beneficial ownership requirements and regulatory compliance frameworks.
- Demonstrated experience in planning, executing and reporting assurance reviews, assessing the effectiveness of controls, identifying root causes, challenging stakeholders, and monitoring remediation actions.
- Strong understanding of applicable AML/CFT legislation, regulatory requirements, industry standards and emerging financial crime risks. Ability to independently evaluate compliance risks and provide credible, risk-based assurance to senior management and governance forums.
