Job Description
Provide commercially driven legal support to the Commercial Property Finance (CPF) business by structuring, drafting, and negotiating bespoke financing and related agreements. Act as a strategic partner to the business by enabling transactions, accelerating deal execution, and supporting revenue growth while ensuring robust legal risk management.
Deliver pragmatic, solution-oriented legal advice across multiple business areas, balancing regulatory compliance with commercial objectives. Proactively identify, assess, and mitigate legal and transactional risks associated with banking products and services, ensuring alignment with the legal entity mandate and applicable regulatory frameworks.
Represent the Bank in complex, multi-party negotiations, influencing outcomes to protect the Bank’s interests while facilitating successful deal closure and maintaining strong client and stakeholder relationships.

- 5–7 years’ post-qualification experience providing commercially focused legal advice, including drafting, reviewing, and negotiating financial and transactional documentation within legal and/or financial services environments.
- Demonstrated ability to identify and manage legal risk in a way that supports business performance and deal delivery.
- Experience within banking, financing, or commercial property transactions is strongly preferred.
- At least 3 years’ experience influencing, guiding, or managing stakeholders/teams (formal people management not essential).
