Job Description

Responsible for origination of credit assets for a broad range of Fixed Income funds, including making credit recommendations to the Fixed Income Credit Committee with respect to forward-looking, through-the-cycle internal credit ratings, setting credit limits for a range of banks, corporates, SOE issuers, securitisations and other structured credit vehicles, as well as conducting internal risk-based assessments of Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) risks. The role also involves supporting Fixed Income Portfolio Managers by providing recommendations for the pricing of listed credit instruments, undertaking ongoing proactive monitoring of selected credit counterparties, providing support to other Credit Analysts within the team, managing both internal and external stakeholders, and assisting with the automation of processes.

Qualifications

Qualification Business Commerce Degree
CA(SA), CFA or similar is preferred

Experience Required

  • 5+ years' experience in making credit recommendations to the Fixed Income Credit Committee in respect of forward-looking, through-the-cycle internal credit ratings
  • Credit limits for a range of banks, corporates, SOE issuers as well securitisations and other structured credit vehicles and Internal risk-based assessments of Environmental, Social and Governance risks
  • Supporting Fixed Income Portfolio Managers by providing recommendations for the pricing of listed credit instruments
  • Ongoing proactive monitoring of selected credit counterparties
