Job Description
The graduate programme aims to introduce graduates to the Youth and Mass Market segment within retail banking, with a strong focus on leveraging data and insights to drive engagement. This includes applying advanced analytics and visualisation tools to uncover patterns and trends within the segment, enabling data-driven initiatives and actionable insights.
The programme provides exposure to retail banking dynamics, emphasising customer profiling segmentation and transactional behaviour analysis to support engagement strategies and business cases. Beyond technical expertise, the programme fosters problem-solving, critical thinking, and effective communication skills to translate data insights into impactful actions that enhance customer engagement and deliver commercial value.
Key responsibilities:
During this 12-month programme you can look forward to:
- Extraction and processing of transactional and client-level data to enable campaign execution and performance tracking.
- Support business cases and post-implementation reviews to demonstrate value and drive customer entrenchment.
- Deliver meaningful insights on Youth and Mass Market segment to inform initiatives and improve customer engagement.
- Customer and transactional reporting of Youth and Mass clients on a weekly, monthly and quarterly basis.
- Apply analytical techniques to identify growth opportunities.
Qualifications
Postgraduate qualification in:
- Data Science
- Mathematics
- Statistics
- Information Science
- Actuarial Science
- Commerce
Postgraduate qualification to be completed by 31 December 2026.
Additional Information
Minimum requirements:
- Must be a South African citizen.
- Should you have work experience, it should not exceed 12 months.
- Full academic transcripts to be submitted with application for undergraduate and postgraduate studies.
