Job Description

Leading in stakeholder management efforts, effectively driving and facilitating requirements prioritization in collaboration with Product Owners. Expertise in Agile methodologies including backlog management, team facilitation and ensuring alignment across delivery streams. Proficiency in using collaboration tools such as Confluence and JIRA to enhance transparency and efficiency while working closely with Release Train Engineers and scrum team members guiding requirements—spanning epics and user stories—through the full delivery lifecycle. Partnering with Product Owners to clearly define the definition of done for user stories, ensuring quality outcomes and alignment with business objectives.

Proven experience in requirements elicitation, gathering, documentation and management and analysing business needs and provide solutions, working in an agile environment.

Strong background in stakeholder management, Agile delivery, backlog management, and collaboration tools (Confluence, JIRA).

10+ years’ experience in payments domain, including domestic and international schemes (SWIFT, RTC, RTGS, SAMOS, EFTS, Payshap).

Deep knowledge of payment processing, collections, SARB regulations, PASA rules, ISO 20022, and cloud-based solutions.

Proven leadership in feature analyst teams and large-scale payment projects.

Technical Competencies:

  • Experience with domestic payments and collections and international payment schemes/rails (e.g, SWIFT, RTC, RTGS, SADC-RTGS, SAMOS, EFTS, Payshap) and payment messaging standards like ISO 20022, SWIFT payment messages, and usage of specific fields within those messages.
  • Implementation and understanding of all inflight processing rules and requirements including interaction with fraud & sanction screening of payments transactions.
  • Demonstrate a proactive attitude towards learning and remain informed about current trends in the payment industry.
  • Experience in creating function designs for implementation of Open Banking APIs.
  • Experience in leading a Feature Analyst team for implementation of Payments related projects.
