Job Description

8-month Fixed Term Contract- NO Relocation will be considered

Support and maintain the risk and compliance frameworks and internal control measures for The Standard Bank South Africa Limited Isle of Man Branch (SBSAIOM) and Standard Finance Limited (SFL). Perform daily cash reconciliations to minimise financial exposure and client impacts, and act as a source of guidance and expertise within the business.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Business related qualification with Risk and Compliance

Experience Required

  • 3-4 years Ideally, a minimum of 3 years financial services experience, preferably in a Risk, AML or Compliance department, with a thorough understanding of Anti-Money Laundering and Operational Risk matters.

Additional Information

Outputs:

  • Perform daily cash reconciliations, to minimise financial exposure and client impacts. Ensure outstanding items are escalated and resolved efficiently, whilst taking ownership of BCU items.
  • Complete client onboarding and periodic Know Your Customer (KYC) reviews in a timely manner for all client risk profiles, whilst adhering to policy, procedure and regulatory requirements and timeframes.
  • Partner with internal stakeholders to assess risk management gaps and incidents for products offered and serviced through SBSAIOM, and implement internal controls required to minimise financial losses or penalties incurred as a result of incidents.
  • Assist in the identification, investigation and reporting of incidents and breaches to continuously manage identified risks within SBG and IOM risk and regulatory standards.
  • Prepare required daily, weekly, monthly, and ad hoc risk and regulatory Management Information (MI) according to regulatory and SBG standards to inform decision making, quality assurance and audit requirements.
