Job Description

To monitor, document and report on the investment performance of all the investment portfolios and private company investments, in adherence with the relevant policies and procedures, for the Std Bank Fiduciary Business Units in Jersey and Mauritius to enable the delivery of their fiduciary responsibilities. In addition, to provide oversight of these investments to ensure the appropriateness of their respective investment strategies and frameworks.

  •  First Degree Finance and Accounting

Experience Required

  • 3-4 years The role requires relevant experience in the financial services industry, preferably with experience in international fiduciary services or investment services.
  • Experience or qualifications in Accounting / Trust / Investments

Additional Information

Output:

  • Act as the principal contact for the third party investment monitoring firm (e.g. Enhance). In addition, engage proactively with MDI (Melville Douglas International) and IFS (International Funds Solutions).
  • As they are the largest asset managers, maintain a high level of understanding and awareness of their investment strategy and performance.
  • Advise the Trust Relationship Administrators by providing guidance concerning investment queries from Asset Managers, Wealth Managers or Clients. Note, this is a non-advisory role and no investment advice is provided to any clients.
  • Maintain a high level of awareness of financial market conditions. This includes at a minimum, attending  weekly investment meetings and regular liaison with  Treasury.
  • Manage relationships with key internal stakeholders, especially the Trust Administrators and Wealth Managers.
  • Monitor and maintain the Nav system data for all non-real estate investments to ensure its accuracy. This is critical to ensuring all reporting is accurate for internal and external reporting purposes.
