Job Description

To execute & implement projects and processes across the Bank and all its points of representation, in order to mitigate employee security and welfare risks, specifically the safety and security of employees in the context of emergency incidents & threats, thereby ensuring that the Bank both fulfils its Duty of Care obligations, and delivers on its People Promise. This includes:

  1. People safety – staff and customers as well as executive security
  2. Asset security – protection of premises I.e. strategic assets (head office buildings, cash centres, data centres, WAR sites); business sites (branches, ATMs, teller implants); assets in transit (CIT)
  3. RES Security Projects – pre-site assessment, project planning and management for branch build and ATM build by observing and implementing group security standards
  4. 3rd party security management – assessing and managing 3rd party suppliers thereby ensuring a safe and secure environment to operate in
  5. Stakeholder management – liaison with government agencies for first line response to critical situations
  6. Travel security – liaison with internal stakeholders in the management of business travel

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications
Type of Qualification: Bachelors Degree
Field of Study: Social Sciences / Security Management / Risk Management
Type of Qualification: Masters Degree
Field of Study: General Management / Security Management

Experience Required
Physical Security Management
5-7 years
The role requires an individual with practical experience in emergency preparedness, resilience and response. Experience in working in security industry (public or private security) would be required. Focus areas for the job include security risk management, security project management, security awareness, preparedness and response, managing 3rd party service providers and internal customers as well as external stakeholders. Good technical knowledge on POR related security and emergency equipment. Good understanding of Control room operations & Intelligence functions.
