Job description:

  • Responsible for the operational management of investment funds within SBG Securities Uganda Ltd - Asset Management Unit.
  • Accountable for the reporting and delivery of operations, compliance, legal and finance procedures to ensure seamless business delivery of fund operations and administration activities.

Key responsibilities 

  • Preapproving all trades after ensuring that they comply with the Client’s investment policies and regulatory guidelines.
  • Fund Administration Duties: Ensuring that the Units in the Unit Portfolios are priced in accordance with the Act, the Scheme Particulars, and this Trust Deed.
  • Publishing on all days the price of Units. Updating Client relationship management system. Maintaining the Unit Holders/client register
  • Settlement of deals/trading transactions daily. Reconciliation of clients’ accounts with the respective custodian
  • Input all data onto the portfolio management system. Periodic timely and accurate reporting. Any other duties as may be assigned from time to time within the job profile.
  • Excellent service delivery to clients through prompt execution of client's instructions as well as other requests related to their portfolio (Redemption Turnaround time).

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Commerce / Economics/ Business Administration.
  • CISI is an added advantage.
  • 3 years' experience in Asset Management.
