Job Description
- Build an extraordinary career and play a key role in creating solutions that will transform organizations and communities around the world
- Work with Amazon Web Services (AWS) to assess applications, software and hardware
- Develop, coordinate and administrate AWS infrastructure/Platform.
- Automate deployments, infrastructure as code
- Have containerization, (Kubernetes, Docker) troubleshooting and support tasks
- Linux servers troubleshooting and support tasks
- Oversee governance and mitigate risk
- Designing and implementing secure network solutions that meet business requirements.
- Creating and configuring virtualized systems in the AWS environment.
- Performing infrastructure upgrades and updates to maximize system efficiency while minimizing downtime.
- Deploying applications in AWS using EC2 instances and Elastic Beanstalk.
- Creating blueprints using CloudFormation templates for common workloads.
- Maintaining, testing and implementing disaster recovery procedures.
- Implementing automation using scripting languages (e.g., Python, Perl) to manage AWS services.
- Building tools for deployment, monitoring, and troubleshooting of system resources in an AWS environment.
- Utilize native services to meet the firm’s technology and resiliency requirements
- Drive Identity and access and configuration management, and monitoring strategy for
- Extend MLP standard systems management processes into the cloud including change, incident, and problem management
- Establish and implement monitoring and management infrastructure for both availability and performance management
- Establish internal pricing and instance selection model for virtual machines
- Integrate management tooling with MLP including automation of spin-up and spin-down and billing approvals
- Design and implement data protection options, including HA and BCP protection in
- Implement solutions provided by Cloud Architects, Development Architects and Dev team members.
- Be active in the innovation required to evaluate and recommending new Cloud based technical solutions. This innovation should champion our mission of automation. Reliability engineering and making new technologies available for consumption by our development community
- Educate teams on the implementation of new cloud-based initiatives, providing associated training when necessary
- Demonstrate exceptional problem-solving skills, with an ability to see and solve issues before they affect business productivity
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering or related field.
- Minimum 3 year’s enterprise related experience as a DevOps or systems administrator/analyst in 24X7 up-time environment
- Experience with Git version control systems
- Experience building release pipelines, preferably YAML
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code, preferably ARM or Bicep
- 2 years cloud experience preferably with AWS and Azure cloud
- 2 years of experience with Kubernetes and related technologies Helm
- Experience with Docker container
- Experience with Infrastructure as code: Terraform
