Job Description

The role shall be key in managing Engineering relationship with business and ensures that the Engineering strategy remains relevant and aligned to business imperatives. He / She shall take a leading role in engaging business and making appropriate Engineering planning. 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer Science or related field
  • 3-5 years work experience in Project Management, Infrastructure / Technical support and Financial Management 
  • Knowledge in management practices, strategy development, business analysis and budgeting.
  • Problem solving skills and good knowledge of Core Banking Systems.
  • Proven experience working with cross-functional teams fostering collaboration

Additional Information

Responsibilities

  • Ensure that the Engineering strategy and investments are aligned with the bank’s overall strategy.
  • Review overall Engineering performance with business leadership and track progress on agreed initiatives.
  • Ensure that Group IT standards are applied to the management of the non-technical IT Operations eg. audit.
  • Ensure the accurate financial management and reporting of Engineering operations.
  • Liaise with Standard Bank Group on the status of procurement and delivery of equipment
  • Manage vendor contracts ensuring adherence on agreed deliverable
