Our client Urgently seeks a young, experienced,smart & service oriented Travel Service Manager to be part of the travel team not more than 35years. The Service Manager will be  responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations for internal and external inquiries ensuring that all set standards and objectives are met promptly. The position requires experience and skill in management & business development, customer service, problem solving, and overall ability to work quickly and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Some of the tasks and responsibilities are outlined as follows:

  • promoting and marketing the business, sometimes to new or niche markets; selling travel products and tour packages;
  • To help maintain global business goals and priorities of the company;
  • To put up a highly cerebral team that will assist in implementing all strategic plans of the company;
  • Liaison with the designated travel company for special travel requests & plan implementations;
  • Serve as a point of contact (internal and external) for travel concerns and issues & determine appropriate travel solution;
  • To prepare and present meaningful metrics & reports that will improve the services of the company;
  • Ensure all travel training & communication materials are up to date on the Travel intranet site;
  • Assist internal employees with travel policies and procedures;
  • Organize & coordinate meeting requests with internal & external parties;
  • Monitor employee reimbursement process inclusive of managing systems and assisting ongoing processing

JOB REQUIREMENT:

Its essential for this person to note that, he/she will best fit the job if you have the following skills and or experience:

  • Experience working within the travel industry;
  • Ability to interact and communicate effectively with all levels of management and administrative support in a professional, business- like manner;
  • Strong organization, planning, and problem-solving skills with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment;
  • Display strong self-management and prioritization skills to monitor work progress timely and efficiently;
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills including; ability to prepare routine written communication, and promptly respond to requests and questions clearly and concisely;
  • Process driven with strong problem solving & follow up skills;
  • Highly productive and result oriented
  • Ability to work independently with minimal direction;
  • Works well as a good team player in a group or department;
  • Effective use of all Microsoft suite of products (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook);
  • A strong creative mind, which will help create campaigns easily for sales penetration;
  • Ability to be flexible in a constantly moving travel & company environment;
  • Strong customer skills, ability to manage internal expectations diplomatically;
  • Multi-tasking skills to be able to balance tactical day-to-day issues;
  • Familiarity with domestic & foreign travel destinations;
  • Candidates should preferable be around the Lekki - Ajah axis 

 

SALARY: N50,000 start up, to be reviewed based on performance (Target evaluation) after 6 months
