We are seeking Quality Assurance Lab Technicians for a well known company in the Lancaster area. All shifts are available for this temporary position. This position will start immediately and go through November 2014.

The QA Lab Technicians are responsible for:

• monitoring, sampling, and testing materials to assure that they meet company and regulatory standards. This position requires a degree in the sciences and strong communication skills.
• Quality Assurance Lab Technician Responsibilities:
• Monitor, sample and test products for quality, standard, taste and consistency
• collect samples, record temperatures, taste and record test panel results
• taste raw ingredient, in process, and finished products for flavor
• maintain proper documentation of lab results
• assist with the R&D program
• physically collect the samples from a plant environment. Occasionally lifting 45lbs of sample product

Quality Assurance Lab Technicians Requirements:

• College degree in science, food science, dairy science, microbiology, biology, chemistry or related field- Bachelor's degree is preferred but not required in lieu of experience
• 3-5 years of food processing environment experience
• MUST have experience in a lab environment
• must be available to work on weekends when needed
• available to work non-traditional rotating shifts
• strong communication skills
• must be able to lift 45lbs, stand, kneel, bend
• must be able to consume products with milk, soy, wheat, peanut, tree nut, egg, shellfish, and fish
• ability to pass required pre-screenings such as drug screen, background check, and skills testing assessments
