This role will oversee the implementation, management and updates of all systems, tools, and platforms, and map and manage data across the organization. We are looking for a detail focused, data driven Product Manager who has a bent towards the creative, loves working with a team, and is ready to work hard to build a socially conscious, sustainable brand. Every day we will expect you to help us dream big and take care of the people who have committed to growing with Sseko.
In addition to that you will:
Create and manage product roadmaps based on industry research, customer listening, and team interviews. Propose enhancements, new tools and products, and ultimately oversee the implementation of those tools / systems.
Create buy-in for the product vision both internally and with key external partners
Manage and coordinate all products and platforms including coordinating with external partners or independent developers to rollout new systems, enhance product features, and resolve issues.
Document functional requirements for all new technology projects and integrations
Translate product strategy into flexible, coherent systems architecture for the company and detailed functional requirements
Scope and prioritize activities based on business and customer impact
Program manage ERP implementation, deployment, and upkeep; drive successful program execution by software vendor, integration team, and internal user team -- both at Sseko headquarters and our Uganda manufacturing facility
Assure business value achieved; drive training and user adoption of new processes embedded in ERP; Help users shed legacy spreadsheets and redundant manual processes; drive robust master data management to assure ERP draws on clean, current, usable data.
Configure and deploy key value enablers with our products: dashboards, reports, and automated workflows.
Lead Beta and user testing for technology. Communicate lessons learned with team, and make recommendations to technology partners.
Proven track record of managing all aspects of a successful technology product and/or project throughout its lifecycle; business value delivered.
Strong problem solving skills and willingness to roll up one’s sleeves to get the job done.
Skilled at working effectively with cross functional teams
Strong competency with Ecommerce and ERP platforms
Hands-on experience with data architecture and master data management; BI and analytics experience a plus.
5+ years systems and data management experience (preferably with ERP / Ecommerce focus)
Experience framing and pitching a business strategy and working in highly cross-functional teams. Ability to speak the language of commerce and customer.
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Strong problem-solving skills
Entrepreneurial mindset; proven love of company building; wants to go far.
