Job Description

We are looking for a Program Management Lead to join Cash App and support the continued growth of Cash App's Financial Crimes program. Our mission is to make banking and financial services accessible to the under-banked by designing an outstanding financial crimes program to help evolve the Cash App business while protecting the broader financial ecosystem and mitigating risk.

You will lead a team of Program Managers that support the Financial Crimes investigations teams by contributing to the design and effectiveness of our detection, monitoring, and reporting operations program for financial crimes related to money laundering and terrorist financing. You will collaborate with Compliance Operations Leads, Legal, Product Managers, and other relevant partners to ensure our program complies with all applicable laws and regulations across jurisdictions and has the infrastructure to implement. You will demonstrate excellent regulatory, process and systems design, data analytics, and documentation abilities. You will report directly to the Head of Financial Crimes for Cash App. 

You Will:

  • Lead a team of Program Managers to ensure execution on the development of the Financial Crimes  program
  • Evaluate BSA/AML transaction monitoring and suspicious activity reporting requirements for our products or features
  • Build tactical and scalable solutions for operational teams to manage compliance risks as it relates to the Bitcoin program
  • Establish relationships and trust with Global Product and Compliance leaders
  • Collaborate with technology teams to roll out enhancements to systems and tools that facilitate operational efficiencies and meet regulatory requirements
  • Guide team recommendations and implement process improvements and procedure updates across the Financial Crimes Investigations teams 
  • Oversee end-to-end implementation of operational changes, and communicate with leadership and other relevant partners
  • Stay informed of regulatory developments, industry trends and Block roadmaps to guide decisions
  • Define metrics to measure success of strategic programs, and report on their progress

Qualifications

You Have:

  • 5+ years as a program manager with direct experience in BSA/AML compliance and crypto
  • 3+ years of experience managing teams of Program Managers
  • Analytical and metrics-driven approach to create substantiated solutions
  • Knowledge in BSA/AML regulations, risks and typologies
  • Experience with Cryptocurrency regulations
  • Relevant industry certifications (CAMS, CFE, CFCS, and CRCM)

Block takes a market-based approach to pay, and pay may vary depending on your location. U.S. locations are categorized into one of four zones based on a cost of labor index for that geographic area. The successful candidate’s starting pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions. These ranges may be modified in the future.

Zone A: USD $184,100 - USD $225,000
Zone B: USD $171,200 - USD $209,200
Zone C: USD $162,000 - USD $198,000
Zone D: USD $152,700 - USD $186,700
