Job Description

TIDAL is looking for an experienced, and strategic manager to lead its global social media team. You will create globally relevant strategies and breakthrough creative content, leveraging both established and emerging platforms to drive our message to engaged artists and music fans around the world.

You will lead a team of social marketers to build and execute our cross-channel strategy, defining TIDAL's overall social approach across the Internet (Instagram, YouTube, TikTok, etc. By creating and implementing shareable content that is creative and attention-getting, you will help embed the brand in music news and culture, and further our brand purpose of artist economic empowerment.

As the team lead, you will manage a group of social media practitioners. You'll have the opportunity to build out the team, define its role within TIDAL, and establish the way the team works globally and cross-functionally. You should think like a publisher — bringing a creative and innovative point of view to the team as we continue to push the boundaries of storytelling across our channels. And you should know how to optimize like a marketer — tweaking channel strategy, developing product marketing, and using data to achieve social OKRs. You will partner with the rest of the Content Marketing team, which includes Artist Marketing, Product Marketing, Editorial, Communications, Creative, among others. There will be a major focus on channel growth, entertaining through content excellence and artist storytelling, all while delivering on goals and important metrics that push the brand forward.

You will have prior experience leading a global team, and understand how to use social media to build brands, create attention and produce advocacy on a global scale. You feel comfortable working collaboratively with cross-functional teams and external partners to drive business impact.

You are a culture junkie who can creatively and easily communicate complicated and innocuous product details for specific audiences. You're clever, creative, dynamic, adaptive, and eager. You love when a great piece of content lands, and want to learn why something doesn't.

This role reports to TIDAL’s Head of Marketing.

You Will:

  • Lead the development of TIDAL's global strategic social media marketing plan, performance benchmarks, budget, and international team across campaigns and channels
  • Lead the development of organic and paid content strategies that support key goals for both product and brand

  • Increase existing channels for growth and develop TIDAL’s presence on new platforms, looking for ways to connect with new audiences and create community
  • Foster a culture of creativity on the team — encouraging the team to test and improve strategies that promote earned media and community engagement
  • Develop a comprehensive framework for measuring the success of social media and its impact on the business
  • Partner with team members across Marketing to ensure organic social media is integrated into our customer journeys and paid and organic social media feel consistent
  • Translate audience learnings and big picture concepts into actionable insights that shape Go-to-Market strategies
  • Identify operational solutions to enable fast and responsive content development and publication

  • Have led complex cross-channel marketing campaigns, collaborating with a range of partners like creative agencies, influencers, and platforms to identify and implement impactful solutions
  • Excelled in a fast-paced, dynamic and high energy environment and are comfortable with occasional ambiguity and a team player willing to pitch in whenever needed
  • Experience partnering with agencies, partners, teams, and more to translate best practices into insights to make informed recommendations/plans
  • Working knowledge of social advertising and how to align organic and paid strategy
  • An eye for detail, down to the last character, image crop, and line break. While the majority of the role won't be focused on content production, you have a background in creative writing or design.
