Job Description
We've recently introduced Cash App Investing and now you can instantly buy stock in your favorite companies with as little as $1 using our free fractional trading feature! We're looking for a world class talent to join our broker-dealer subsidiary, Cash App Investing LLC. The ideal candidate for this role is someone who has deep experience in brokerage operations.
You Will:
- This role reports to a brokerage operations accounts lead.
- Provide subject matter expertise on strategic initiatives related to brokerage functions.
- Document standard operating procedures and job aids and update as needed.
- Identify areas for process improvement and work toward implementation with respective teams.
- Willing to work and get comfortable with ambiguity in a fast paced environment.
- Works closely with peers to provide support in functional areas of operation and provides feedback
- Completes daily brokerage operations tasks in best practice with firm written supervisory procedures and operational processes.
- Reviews and actions accounts in accordance with firm policy and procedure.
- Collaborates with lead, peers, and cross functional teams to identify areas of opportunity and risks.
- Performs daily operational processing functions and maintains records in accordance with firms Written Supervisory Procedures.
- High-level understanding of SEC / FINRA regulations that pertain to the subject matter.
Collaborates with engineering, support, and product teams to facilitate improvements and increase efficiency within the current back office structure for the broker-dealer’s risk operation.
Qualifications
You Have:
- 5+ years of experience in either a back office brokerage operations role with a direct focus on customer account management or broker-dealer compliance with a focus on AML / Identity Theft.
- Experience with identity verification and customer identification programs.
- Functional experience with Looker / Tableau or other data analytics tools.
- Technical experience scaling processes or managing projects.
- FINRA Licenses: Series 7, 63, and 24.
- Knowledge and respect for SEC/FINRA regulatory and compliance rules and regulations.
- Highly organized and detail oriented.
- Team player and willing to jump in and help others on a regular basis.
- Someone who thrives in a highly collaborative and fast-paced environment.
- Well versed in collaborating with peer disciplines such as Product, Engineering, Data Science, Compliance etc.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- A passion for our mission of economic empowerment through serving the underserved.
Additional Information
Block takes a market-based approach to pay, and pay may vary depending on your location. U.S. locations are categorized into one of four zones based on a cost of labor index for that geographic area. The successful candidate’s starting pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions. These ranges may be modified in the future.
Zone A: USD $94,400 - USD $115,400
Zone B: USD $87,800 - USD $107,400
Zone C: USD $80,300 - USD $98,100
Zone D: USD $70,800 - USD $86,600
