Job Description
At Cash App, Design Program Managers (DPMs) enable teams to thrive with operational excellence. DPMs manage people, programs, and processes to amplify the impact and effectiveness of the product design org to build quality products for our customers.
In this role, you will be responsible for driving forward the Trust team, which includes product verticals across our Health, Support, and Global teams.
We are looking for a US-based, west coast, senior-level DPM to focus on building frameworks to ensure the design team (content design, research, product design) is integrated and effective across multiple products. Reporting to the Head of Design Operations, this role will drive impact for the design team by implementing strong processes to support the day-to-day strategic operations of the Trust design team. You are the glue between several important teams, as you partner closely with design leadership and cross-functional teams to build new solutions.
You will:
- Drive clarity and transparency; design and build operating model for the Trust design team (product design, research, content design); implementing and owning team ceremonies from various altitudes
- Partner closely with Trust leadership to track complex program priorities and manage dependencies end-to-end
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with your primary stakeholders; proactively assess and de-escalate risks; work closely with design team to problem solve
- Facilitate and drive progress of the design work while working with a global distributed team; design rituals to promote cross-functional collaboration with other teams and help drive stakeholder management
- Manage team resources and design onboarding; collaborate with Head of Design Ops to build/share working frameworks to drive larger org-wide adoption
Qualifications
- You live in California, Oregon, Washington, or Nevada
- 8+ years experience in design program management/design operations; building consumer facing products with design, product, and engineering teams
- Effective, clear, and proactive communicator that can influence strong team culture and a global design community; experience working with global distributed teams
- Deep understanding of the product design development process; experience working directly with ICs / managers and driving work forward backed by data
- Ability to self-direct and take initiative on multiple work streams; not afraid to get hands dirty, dive right into the work, set expectations, know what’s “enough process,” and work through ambiguity to bring calm and order
- Experience working with design, prototyping, and project management tools (Figma, Jira, Notion, G Suite, etc.)

Block takes a market-based approach to pay, and pay may vary depending on your location. U.S. locations are categorized into one of four zones based on a cost of labor index for that geographic area. The successful candidate’s starting pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions. These ranges may be modified in the future.
Zone A: USD $184,100 - USD $225,000
Zone B: USD $174,900 - USD $213,700
Zone C: USD $165,700 - USD $202,500
Zone D: USD $156,400 - USD $191,200
