Job Description

Block is looking for a Senior Internal Audit Manager to join our growing internal audit team. This role will be a part of internal audit's business process team, reporting to the Internal Audit Lead, and partnering with the technology audit team to support the Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) program, risk-based operational audits, and AML and other regulatory compliance audits. 

You are highly experienced in establishing and executing SOX and operational audit methodology and projects. You are an innovative thinker capable of driving continuous improvement of our audit methodology and control framework, with a history of delivering tangible and meaningful process improvements across the organization. You have strong project management and prioritization skills, and the ability to manage projects independently. You can effectively manage both project resources and business partners. You can navigate through complex business problems and make sound decisions. You are comfortable to ask questions and raise concerns. You have strong drive for excellence in an evolving business and risk environment.

You Will:

  • Take ownership of all assigned audit projects, which includes developing and tracking project timelines, assign and manage both internal and external resources, and report on the conclusions and observations identified.

  • Oversee and perform audit procedures, including scoping analysis, process and risk/control documentations, and the testing and review of controls.

  • Build relationships with our internal and external partners (process owners, co-sourcing partners, and external auditors)

  • Help build consistency, efficiency, and quality excellence of our audit methodology, procedures, and documentations

  • Proactively anticipate business partner needs and opportunities for involvement

Qualifications

You Have:

  • A BA/BS/Master degree in Accounting, Finance or related field

  • 7+ years of experience in an audit role from public accounting, fin-tech or technology industry

  • Professional certification preferred (CPA, CIA, CISA)

  • Excellent oral and written communication, interpersonal and presentation skills, including outstanding ability to summarize complex issues into succinct communications for a all levels of internal and external executive stakeholders.

  • Experienced in project management and cross-functional collaboration.

Additional Information

Block takes a market-based approach to pay, and pay may vary depending on your location. U.S. locations are categorized into one of four zones based on a cost of labor index for that geographic area. The successful candidate’s starting pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions. These ranges may be modified in the future.

Zone A: USD $152,100 - USD $185,900
Zone B: USD $141,500 - USD $172,900
Zone C: USD $133,800 - USD $163,600
Zone D: USD $121,700 - USD $148,700
