Job Description

At TIDAL, we’re focused on economic empowerment for artists, and a foundational element is how artists are paid. The Royalties Operations department is a team within the Royalties team that is responsible for the accurate reporting of our royalty obligations to rights holders, and Artists. We are looking for a Data and Reporting Analyst to join our Royalties Operation function within TIDAL’s Royalties team. You will work with engineering, business affairsand licensing, analytics, product, and finance to ensure the accurate delivery of royalties reporting and payouts. You will manage requirements, manage and influence partners, and effectively prioritize opportunities and resources. 

This role is remote-friendly (U.S. only).

You Will:

  • Ensure accurate monthly reporting and payouts to rights holders

  • Partner with engineering teams to maintain the royalty engine by defining business logic changes and any product updates

  • Create financial metrics and royalty expense figures reports to our teams and external partners

  • Manage communications and projects across multiple partner teams 

  • Perform audit controls and create support for both our internal and external audit teams

Qualifications

  • You Have:

    • 5-8 years of data analytics and reporting experience in royalties, music, entertainment, or licensing

    • An understanding and empathy for artists and other important players in the music creation and distribution ecosystem, with experience with improving their economic outcomes

    • Fluent in different analytics tools such as SQL, Tableau, and Alteryx

    • Experience using data for storytelling to all kinds of audiences

    • The ability to tell compelling stories with data and guide important decisions for the business

    • A detail-oriented and an automation-first mindset

    • The ability to operate in Google Sheets and Slides

    • Experience redefining how royalties impacts Artist’s economic outcomes

Additional Information

Block takes a market-based approach to pay, and pay may vary depending on your location. U.S. locations are categorized into one of four zones based on a cost of labor index for that geographic area. The successful candidate’s starting pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions. These ranges may be modified in the future.

Zone A: USD $138,200 - USD $169,000
Zone B: USD $128,500 - USD $157,100
Zone C: USD $121,700 - USD $148,700
Zone D: USD $110,600 - USD $135,200
