Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Salesforce Release Manager to lead the planning, coordination, and deployment of Salesforce releases across our organization. The successful candidate will have a deep understanding of the Salesforce platform, its various modules, and how they integrate with other enterprise systems. They will be responsible for ensuring that all Salesforce releases are delivered on time, within budget, and with the highest quality.

Aa a Release Manager you will experience building, managing, and supporting release management processes for the Salesforce platform. This role is a great opportunity to lead project releases across a broad range of elements such as Service Cloud, Communities, Multi-Org. You will own release management in the Salesforce platform and own the Non Prod environments to support refresh activities.

Responsibilities: 

  • Lead the planning and coordination of Salesforce releases, working closely with development teams, project managers, and business stakeholders.
  • Develop and maintain release schedules, ensuring that all release activities are completed on time.
  • Communicate release schedules, progress, and risks to stakeholders, providing regular status updates and reports.
  • Manage release activities, including testing, deployment, and post-release validation.
  • Work with development teams to ensure that all Salesforce customizations are properly documented and adhere to best practices.
  • Develop and maintain release management processes and procedures, ensuring that they are followed consistently across the organization.
  • Continually evaluate and improve release management processes, tools, and techniques to optimize efficiency and quality.
  • Write and publish detailed release notes that clearly document all changes, enhancements, and bug fixes included in each Salesforce release, ensuring that stakeholders are informed and prepared for any changes.

Qualifications

  • At least 5 years of experience in Salesforce release management.
  • Experience with Salesforce development tools and methodologies, including Apex, Visualforce, Lightning Components, and Salesforce DX.
  • In-depth knowledge of Salesforce architecture, configuration, and customization best practices.
  • Strong project management skills, with experience leading cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience with Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) tools such as BlueCanvas, Git, Jenkins, or equivalent tools, to automate the build, test, and deployment process, ensuring consistency, speed, and quality.
  • Salesforce certifications, such as 
    • Salesforce Certified Developer II
    • Salesforce Certified Development Lifecycle & Deployment Architect

Additional Information

Block takes a market-based approach to pay, and pay may vary depending on your location. U.S. locations are categorized into one of four zones based on a cost of labor index for that geographic area. The successful candidate’s starting pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions. These ranges may be modified in the future.

Zone A: USD $152,100 - USD $185,900
Zone B: USD $144,500 - USD $176,700
Zone C: USD $136,900 - USD $167,300
Zone D: USD $129,300 - USD $158,100
