Job Description

As a Technical Program Manager on the Bitcoin Hardware Operations team, you will be responsible for designing, setting up, and managing manufacturing processes and quality controls across the supply chain for both the Bitcoin Wallet and Mining programs. You will take the lead in driving technical, operational, and quality related initiatives that ensure our supply chain is robust and our quality is exceptional. In this role you will flex amongst quality engineering, supplier quality engineering, manufacturing/sustaining engineering, and field failure analysis work. You will collaborate with internal teams to define product requirements and then work with external partners to implement processes and controls that ensure quality standards are met. You will also work with the cross functional team to understand field performance, conduct root cause analysis, and drive improvement activities in the factories. You will drive quality/manufacturing engineering projects that require technical problem solving and data analysis. In this role you will work with various engineering, operations, and product management partners throughout the product lifecycle. You will report to the Operations Lead.

Qualifications

You will:

  • Take the lead in understanding manufacturing/quality risks across the supply chain and prioritizing work to mitigate them
  • Work with engineering from early stages in the design process to ensure that products are designed for manufacturability (DFM/DFA)
  • Define (and refine) manufacturing/quality requirements throughout NPI and Sustaining phases
  • Support field quality investigations, risk assessment, and data analysis
  • Conduct data analysis (yield, IQC, ORT, IPQC, etc..) on production and quality metrics
  • Conduct product audits (i.e. CET) to ensure adherence to product specifications
  • Review and summarize data reports for cross-functional distribution
  • Drive root-cause analysis and process studies in the case of quality excursions 
  • Willingness to travel both domestically and internationally, 15% - 20% 

Qualifications

You have:

  • Bachelor’s degree (ME/EE preferred) 
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in new product development, manufacturing, and/or quality management 
  • Experience with external vendor management
  • Expertise in manufacturing and quality control best practices
  • Familiarity with process validation requirements
  • Solid communication skills and team player attitude to establish good working relationships within Engineering and Operations
  • Basic statistical analysis skills
  • Willingness to be flexible within the Hardware Operations team; support functions outside of TPM if need be.

Block takes a market-based approach to pay, and pay may vary depending on your location. U.S. locations are categorized into one of four zones based on a cost of labor index for that geographic area. The successful candidate’s starting pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions. These ranges may be modified in the future.

Zone A: USD $222,800 - USD $272,300
Zone B: USD $222,800 - USD $272,300
Zone C: USD $222,800 - USD $272,300
Zone D: USD $222,800 - USD $272,300
