Job Description

Afterpay is looking for an Integrated Marketing Project Manager to join our marketing team in the US. This role will work closely with the marketing team on top tier brand and product marketing projects. The primary focus of the role will be owning end-to-end project timelines in coordination with creative ops, running project planning, intake and status, and maintaining process and project templates. This is a highly cross-functional role requiring both strategic and tactical execution, as well as strong stakeholder management. We are looking for candidates that have developed integrated campaigns for high growth marketing organizations with exceptional problem-solving skills and have the ability to work closely with marketing, creative, and technical stakeholders. You are a meticulous and relentless project driver, someone who not only supports the needs of the team, but a person who sets the momentum to accelerate the business.

You will:
 

  • Manage end to end timeline for projects which may include gathering milestone inputs from agency and internal stakeholders (ie creative, compliance, legal, etc), creating long- and short-term plans, flagging blockers and risks to launch dates and ensuring clear accountability for deliverables
  • Serve as the lead point of contact on projects to maintain synergy and alignment on actions
  • Facilitate strategic annual and quarterly planning and ensure projects are kicking off with proper lead times
  • Run weekly intake calls with Marketing and Creative stakeholders
  • Run project status calls with the team to confirm progress, identify roadblocks and move work forward and proactively cascade status updates to relevant stakeholders
  • Manage project updates, status and tracking in project management system - in collaboration with cross functional project managers
  • Conducts retrospectives, drives improvements to operating model and sharing of best practices
  • Create, maintain and socialize project templates and process documentation for scaled operational support
  • Be a partner to the head of marketing operations to building a best-in-class marketing operating model

Qualifications

You have:

  • 6+ years experience in marketing project management or agency account management
  • Strong relationship building skills with leaders and technical teams and the ability to develop consensus and drive stakeholders to a decision
  • Experience working with Marketers to define and implement process for project and campaign execution
  • Experience with driving strategic planning
  • Experience working with a project management software - Wrike preferred
  • A bias toward action
  • Ability to manage multiple projects at the same time in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to balance strategic with tactical, 30k foot view with in the weeds detail
  • A passion to improve processes
  • Effective, clear, and concise communication skills, verbal and written

Additional Information

Block takes a market-based approach to pay, and pay may vary depending on your location. U.S. locations are categorized into one of four zones based on a cost of labor index for that geographic area. The successful candidate’s starting pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions. These ranges may be modified in the future.

Zone A: USD $138,200 - USD $169,000
Zone B: USD $128,500 - USD $157,100
Zone C: USD $121,700 - USD $148,700
Zone D: USD $110,600 - USD $135,200

This role is also eligible to participate in Block's equity plan subject to the terms of the applicable plans and policies, and may be eligible for a sign-on bonus.
