The Cash App Pay team is building new payment experiences on Cash App that leverage our vast omni-channel Seller ecosystem at Square and beyond. As a software engineer on the Payments team, you will be deeply involved in the technical details of building highly available and reliable services, while also working with product teams and as a product owner to build new capabilities for our customers, partners, and merchants as we scale across e-commerce and in-person experiences. You'll be joining the team early in the product life cycle, with plenty of opportunities to continue shaping it from an engineering and product perspective.
 

You will:

• Work cross-functionally with our product, business, and finance teams to support new payment experiences across Cash App mobile and web clients
• Design, develop, and maintain new features and existing systems
• Creatively solve challenging technical problems at scale, such as high-volume, low-latency, distributed transaction processing systems.
• Build systems that manage customers’ sensitive data and hold Cash App to the highest standards for security and compliance
• Have autonomy to research and achieve outcomes with support when you need it
• Contributing to the growth of our development capabilities through leading, mentoring and supporting fellow engineers

You have:

• 2+ years of software development experience, including internships
• Well-developed curiosity
• Desire to perform and grow as an engineer
• Technical initiative and leadership on previous projects or hack weeks
• A vested interest in advancing Cash App's vision of building for economic empowerment
