Job Description
We're looking for an experienced People Strategy & Planning Lead to promote Cash App's people strategy. This leadership role will report directly to Cash App People Lead and will help develop Cash App’s people team vision including the short and long-term strategies. You will be the connective tissue for the Cash App people organization and will balance a mix of operational, planning, and strategic responsibilities. Through inspirational communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills you will enhance productivity and scalable execution within the Cash App People team.
You have experience across strategy development, program design, facilitation and change management. Experience partnering with a People organization and possessing a point of view on goals and challenges of multiple people functions -- including Recruiting, HR Business Partners, Total Rewards, L&D, People Operations, and People Analytics is also ideal.
You Will:
Manage the Cash People team’s strategy, planning and operations responsibility
Manage and refine the Cash App People team’s annual strategic planning process
Oversee ongoing planning efforts inclusive of managing and measuring progress to goals
Build a planning capability to prioritize investments and programs and align resources as priorities shift
Meticulously coordinate and improve our team-wide processes (e.g. Quarterly Business Review, weekly updates, all-hands, etc.)
Provide an objective perspective and decision support through data collection, information analysis, and strategic thinking
Regularly and proactively work with important partners to help address issues, build plans, and deliver value quickly
Develop workforce data reporting to ensure accuracy and to inform decision-making
Work with HR and other departments to ensure that workforce planning programs are aligned with the People strategy
Qualifications
You Have:
10+ years of experience leading planning, strategy and operations
Experience working directly with management and people at all levels, including executive and C-suite level
Influencing skills with executive leaders and teams - you excel at distilling difficult concepts and creating concise messages and stories that resonate.
Deep expertise working with, and communicating through, people-related data - you excel at drawing insights from qualitative and quantitative datasets
Experience managing confidential and private information with discretion, judgment, and diplomacy
Experience managing and growing a team

Block takes a market-based approach to pay, and pay may vary depending on your location. U.S. locations are categorized into one of four zones based on a cost of labor index for that geographic area. The successful candidate’s starting pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions. These ranges may be modified in the future.
Zone A: USD $222,800 - USD $272,300
Zone B: USD $222,800 - USD $272,300
Zone C: USD $222,800 - USD $272,300
Zone D: USD $222,800 - USD $272,300

This role is also eligible to participate in Block's equity plan subject to the terms of the applicable plans and policies, and may be eligible for a sign-on bonus.
