Our mission is to simplify Square’s Growth by bringing the right tools together to attract, convert, and engage Square customers. The team is responsible for supporting the experimentation platform, delivering solutions for targeting and personalization, and being a central hub for the Square Marketer. In the future, we look to expand our platform to support the Sales and Customer Success team. You will work with PMs, cross functional engineering teams, Designers, and partner teams to conceive and execute initiatives that make Growth easy.

• 5+ years of fullstack / front-end development experience and an excellent command of engineering fundamentals

• Motivation to build beautiful, refined and intuitive products 

• Innate curiosity, a desire to learn and teach, and a keen eye for detail

• Empathy for your customers and colleagues

• Eagerness to share your own ideas, and openness to those of others

• A deep understanding of the importance of performance monitoring, logging, and telemetry

• Experience working with PHP (Preferably PHP 7+), Laravel, or Go

• Experience working with Javascript (Preferably Typescript)

• Experience working with relational databases, with a strong understanding of best practices

Block takes a market-based approach to pay, and pay may vary depending on your location. U.S. locations are categorized into one of four zones based on a cost of labor index for that geographic area. The successful candidate’s starting pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions. These ranges may be modified in the future.

Zone A: USD $167,300 - USD $204,500
Zone B: USD $158,900 - USD $194,300
Zone C: USD $150,600 - USD $184,000
Zone D: USD $142,200 - USD $173,800
