As Legal Counsel for product, you'll have a broad range of responsibilities providing legal guidance on product development projects. You will report to the local legal lead and partner with our innovators to develop new technologies, while managing legal risk and ensuring regulatory compliance. You will also be called upon to negotiate complex commercial relationships that contribute to our products’ success. As we expand our offerings, your ideas and contributions will make an immediate impact. 

You Will:

• Provide guidance to product and engineering teams on issues related to all products and features throughout the entire product development lifecycle

• Remain up-to-date on relevant industry, consumer protection, advertising, IP, and privacy laws and regulations to provide an ongoing ability to provide sound compliance advice

• Draft terms of use, product policies, and disclosures 

• Provide ideas and insights into how we can work within the law to create amazing product experiences for our customers

You Have:

• Qualified solicitor with 2+ years of relevant experience in a law firm or in-house legal department (public or private sector)

• Familiarity with launching products and advising on the legal and regulatory aspects of product development in the technology space

• Excellent commercial negotiation and drafting skills

• Fluency translating legal advice into actionable guidance for creative products and collaborators

• Manage projects effectively

• Work in an evolving and growing environment that is prone to changes

• Sound, practical business judgment, and creativity solving problems

• Experience in financial services, payments, fintech or technology (desirable but not essential)
