Job Description
Our vision is to transform TIDAL into a transparent, open and modular platform that enables us, and anyone else, to invent and build new solutions that drive music innovation using our content, data and functionalities. We are seeking a seasoned Technical Program Manager to drive development of our external API’s and developer facing programs that drive innovation, enable promotion, and unlock monetization opportunities for our artists and fans. In collaboration with our API, Platform and Product teams, you will develop business cases for project prioritization and investment, assess risks, anticipate bottlenecks, make tradeoffs, and balance business needs vs.technical constraints. You will also work closely with external partners such as global premium audio brands, creator tools and software, sound partners and OEMs. You will report to the Head of Partnerships.
You Will:
Define and deliver an integration strategy that grants music innovators and developers access to Music and drives innovation.
Create a ‘safe’ development environment that drives innovation while respecting the rights and responsibilities of our artists and label partners.
Develop, and evolve relationships with partners, at both executive and working level.
Negotiate complex technical agreements including defining important business commitments and deliverables.
Prepare and deliver updates for senior leadership on progress and roadblocks.
Qualifications
You Have:
7+ years of technical program experience
Prior experience working with music-centric partners or record labels is a requirement for this role.
Experience with project delivery for large, cross functional projects involving partner teams inside and outside your organization.
Software architecture design or system design experience independent of an architect
Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering or Computer Science
Experience with programs that require expert handling of technical, legal, and licensing dependencies.
Practical experience with agile and lean values, principles, and techniques.
Additional Information
Block takes a market-based approach to pay, and pay may vary depending on your location. U.S. locations are categorized into one of four zones based on a cost of labor index for that geographic area. The successful candidate’s starting pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions. These ranges may be modified in the future.
Zone A: USD $184,100 - USD $225,000
Zone B: USD $171,200 - USD $209,200
Zone C: USD $162,000 - USD $198,000
Zone D: USD $152,700 - USD $186,700

This role is also eligible to participate in Block's equity plan subject to the terms of the applicable plans and policies, and may be eligible for a sign-on bonus.
