Job Description

As a Cash Systems/Application Analyst, your goal is to improve the work experience for advocates and leadership by delivering reliable and scalable solutions that lower the burden of systems use for our employees.

You'll do this by supporting and implementing a minimum 3 business applications while coordinating with multiple stakeholders and business units to achieve measurable business impact. Key Responsibilities:

  • Work on the complex business and technical problems, analyzing and evaluating current business methods and procedures for improvement

  • Have detailed knowledge of the architecture and optimal configurations of business solutions 

  • Design and implement new methods, procedures, and systems (both automated and manual) to improve the productivity, processing, and flow of information with our customers

  • Identify and problem solve for issues that prevent an optimal experience for advocates and customers 

  • Self-starter with solid interpersonal skills - projecting a uniquely positive customer-service-oriented attitude

  • Ability to work alone and with other members of a team.  Must be a team player with exceptional verbal and written communication skills

  • Create and maintain thorough, up-to-date, functional and technical systems documentation for projects, design, customization and maintenance actions taken

  • Create and maintain thorough, up-to-date training documentation, and deliver 1:1 or group training sessions

  • Design, execute, manage and document test plans.  Take appropriate actions to address defects

  • Act as a thought leader for the team for business systems

  • Ability to successfully manage vendor relationships to ensure the success of projects and ensure the highest quality services for our customers

  • Ability to effectively manage multiple efforts simultaneously and adjust to changes in direction as needed to meet business objectives

Qualifications

  • BS in Information Systems, Computer Science or other relevant degree

  • 5+ years of experience as a Applications Analyst or Business Systems Analyst with increasing levels of responsibility

  • At least 3 years of in-depth, hands-on experience with consultation, design, implementation and maintenance of an enterprise class business system.  

  • Ability to effectively manage multiple, complex efforts simultaneously and adjust to changes in direction as needed to meet business objectives

  • Extremely high attention to detail

  • Previous roles in a high growth, tech environment preferred

  • Ability to lead cross-functional projects 

  • Strong relationship building skills coupled with the ability to develop consensus

  • Experience with operational tooling related to social media monitoring, workforce management, L&D, or QA preferred

Block takes a market-based approach to pay, and pay may vary depending on your location. U.S. locations are categorized into one of four zones based on a cost of labor index for that geographic area. The successful candidate’s starting pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions. These ranges may be modified in the future.

Zone A: USD $125,600 - USD $153,600
Zone B: USD $119,300 - USD $145,900
Zone C: USD $113,000 - USD $138,200
Zone D: USD $106,800 - USD $130,600

This role is also eligible to participate in Block's equity plan subject to the terms of the applicable plans and policies, and may be eligible for a sign-on bonus.
