Job Description
Cash App is looking for a strategic and results-oriented Product Marketing Leader to advance our mission of economic empowerment. This role will be responsible for driving the adoption and growth of Cash App and its suite of products for one of our most rapidly growing product verticals. Building and expanding an enduring, engaging, and differentiated suite of Cash App products is a critical ingredient for our long-term success. In this role, you will work closely with our Product, Creative, Brand, Research, and Marketing teams to achieve shared product and marketing objectives.
As one of our product marketing leads, you will define the marketing strategy for a suite of Cash App products. You will develop and lead GTM plans for new product launches across the portfolio - and make key decisions to prioritize our marketing investments. As part of these plans, you will define the target audience, positioning and messaging, and the channel strategy, rooted in clear objectives and insights. You will also identify new opportunities and obtain buy-in from leadership and key stakeholders to launch marketing initiatives that will accelerate the growth of our existing offerings. You’ll develop a deep understanding of our customers, competition, and the overall market to help strengthen the value proposition of the product portfolio.
You will:
Develop and drive the GTM strategy for a key product vertical, defining goals, audience, positioning and messaging, and channel strategy.
Provide thought leadership to our executive leadership, product, and creative teams to gain buy-in on product marketing strategies
Influence Cash App’s products by championing key market insights and representing the product marketing perspective in product development.
Champion Cash App’s marketing experimentation culture by testing measurable and scalable programs that you’ll optimize and launch based on learnings.
Launch insights-driven marketing programs that drive key business metrics, customer behavior, and product objectives
- Lead campaign development and coordination across partner teams, driving targeted strategies and messaging across audiences and channels.
Qualifications
10+ years of experience with a business-to-customer marketing focus
7+ years of experience in product marketing (fintech a strong plus)
Proven leadership skills and the ability to influence and lead cross-functional teams
An ability to lead at both the strategic and operational levels, and to consistently meet or exceed planned objectives.
A strong track record of spearheading launches and marketing campaigns that drove significant business results
Strong business acumen and extensive experience with core analytical concepts like LTV and incrementality
Strong ability to synthesize insights and leverage to influence key decisions
A scrappy and resourceful way of operating. You are able to unblock yourself to achieve your goals and are always thinking creatively about your approach to problems.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills. This role demands a strong ability to use the spoken and written word to communicate effectively with all stakeholders.
Additional Information
Block takes a market-based approach to pay, and pay may vary depending on your location. U.S. locations are categorized into one of four zones based on a cost of labor index for that geographic area. The successful candidate’s starting pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions. These ranges may be modified in the future.
Zone A: USD $184,100 - USD $225,000
Zone B: USD $171,200 - USD $209,200
Zone C: USD $162,000 - USD $198,000
Zone D: USD $152,700 - USD $186,700

This role is also eligible to participate in Block's equity plan subject to the terms of the applicable plans and policies, and may be eligible for a sign-on bonus.
