TBD’s Product Engineering team is on the mission to build value-added decentralized financial services and applications that can drive monetization for TBD. With the focus of real world problems for retail customers and financial institutions, you will play a key role to further our mission of economic empowerment globally.

As a Software Engineer, Product you will be a part of the TBD Software Engineering Team and report to the team lead.

You Will

• Be one of the founding members of the team

• Build and launch decentralized cross-border money moving services globally. 

• Contributing to the specifications and strategies of TBD’s product and monetization initiatives.

• Market research, prototype, and evaluate various blockchain based solutions available on the market.

• Design and lead development process to ensure quality, including code reviews as well as testing and verification.

• Be involved in the current blockchain community, stay close with relevant updates in the industry and foster a growing internal knowledge base.

You Have

• 5+ years of experience in designing and shipping scalable systems and products

• Strong CS fundamentals with experience across a range of disciplines

• Have driven the designs of complex products and architectures

• Entrepreneurial and have demonstrated ability to handle ambiguity

• Product focused mindset and genuine interest in user experience

• Ability to set technical and cultural standards for engineers

• Experience working with open source projects

• Ability to mentor and grow the team

• Interest and ability to pick up new technologies quickly

Even Better:

• Familiar with fiat payment systems

• Familiar with Solidity and Rust programming languages

• Experience or interest in building smart contracts and protocols, and developing Dapps or Web3 applications

• Passionate about DeFi protocols

Block takes a market-based approach to pay, and pay may vary depending on your location. U.S. locations are categorized into one of four zones based on a cost of labor index for that geographic area. The successful candidate’s starting pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions. These ranges may be modified in the future.

Zone A: USD $202,500 - USD $247,500
Zone B: USD $192,400 - USD $235,200
Zone C: USD $182,300 - USD $222,800
Zone D: USD $172,200 - USD $210,400
