Job Description
Our Customer team works with our commercial websites, including a new artist facing platform, TIDAL.com, signup, registration flows and tools for maintaining those. Reporting to the Web team Lead, your primary responsibility will be to build the new artist facing platform and to ensure top-notch functionality of all our commercial website properties.
Our team of developers works within a flat and flexible structure. We are focused on teamwork because we know that the best results are achieved when we combine our efforts. The team ensures continuous delivery and we work with sprints and daily standups. We always aim to use the newest technology and we make sure to implement our solutions in the best way possible.
You will:
Partner closely with Product Leads and cross functional teams to execute the vision and roadmap for our new Artist Platform
Take ownership to deliver a world class engineered web based product
Cultivate pragmatic engineering decision-making whilst leveraging your technical expertise to guide and raise the bar of engineers you are working with
Collaborate with our backend user and acquisition teams to build and deliver product features on commercial platforms
Help analyze and implement technical improvements and performance optimisation
Foster ownership, inclusiveness, accountability and urgency in the team
Qualifications
- 7+ years of experience working with JavaScript on both the client and the server-side
- Strong programming skills with HTML, (S)CSS, JavaScript and experience working with modern frameworks, eg.: Vue.js, React, Nuxt.js, Express.js and Node.js
- Experience using tools and technology such as Webpack, Docker, npm, Git, Kibana, AWS, etc.
- Strong stakeholder management skills and you enjoy driving the technical and product vision within the domain you operate in
- You are outcome focused and employ a collaborative approach
- Passion for technology; you are good at solving complex problems and you put in the extra effort to make sure users love your work
- Passionate about adding to and growing an organization's engineering culture
Additional Information
Block takes a market-based approach to pay, and pay may vary depending on your location. U.S. locations are categorized into one of four zones based on a cost of labor index for that geographic area. The successful candidate’s starting pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions. These ranges may be modified in the future.
Zone A: USD $202,500 - USD $247,500
Zone B: USD $192,400 - USD $235,200
Zone C: USD $182,300 - USD $222,800
Zone D: USD $172,200 - USD $210,400

This role is also eligible to participate in Block's equity plan subject to the terms of the applicable plans and policies, and may be eligible for a sign-on bonus.
