Job Description

At Block, we build elegant solutions to solve real problems. As a Business Analyst for the Operational Excellence team, you will be responsible for delivering process documentation, enterprise analysis and solutions to our business stakeholders spanning across Systems, Procurement, Human Resources, Finance and Accounting, but not limited to those. You will be involved in cross-functional initiatives supporting all types of activities such as process documentation, process analysis, gap analysis, discovery phases, requirements gathering, testing, training to post implementation and support.

You Will:

  • Lead process documentation sessions, documenting current and future state business processes, and understand business needs to recommend solutions around process, people and technology
  • Research and drive business workflow and technology discussions and make appropriate recommendations that will positively impact operational and end-user effectiveness
  • Create customer journeys to support the design and development of optimal End-to-End processes
  • Collaborate with team members to design solutions that meet the business needs
  • Provide support on change management initiatives
  • Develop and maintain committed dates, milestones and deliverables
  • Partner with product managers and project teams to build business solutions
  • Act as a liaison between business stakeholders and business systems teams
  • Help improve standardization across the business and adoption of process best practices
  • Provide analysis on complex issues and provide recommendations through scenario analysis
  • Write technical documentation and provide team training

Qualifications

You Have:

  • Bachelor in Business, Information Systems, Computer Science or other relevant degree 

  • 5+ years of enterprise experience working with Business Process Management

  • Excellent communications skills to translate between business and technical requirements

  • Experience with project management methodologies to manage timelines

  • Experience with agile-scrum methodologies for sprint planning and execution

  • Experience with process notations such as BPMN and EPC

  • Experience with BPM tools as Software AG ARIS, Signavio, Lucidcharts or MS Visio

  • Experience with Process Mining tools (Software AG ARIS or Signavio)

  • Experience with quality and continuous improvement tools such Lean Six-sigma, Cause-and-effect diagram, Check sheet, Control chart, Histogram, Pareto, Scatter diagram

  • Experience with Continuous Improvement or process improvements

  • Experience with APQC process classification framework

  • Understanding of Customer Centric approach and its principles

  • Strong presentation, communication (written and verbal), and interpersonal skills

  • Previous roles in consulting or operational excellence teams.

  • Certified CBPA
