Job Description
The Change Management Lead is responsible for crafting the change management experience across the wider Block organization and will partner with a diverse range of stakeholders to drive change in support of M&As, major programs, and org changes. In addition, this role partners broadly to develop and implement M&A integration programs to bridge organizational/team cultures and foster a collaborative and productive environment. Guided by a human-centered approach to change, and the principles of diversity, equity, and inclusion, the CM Lead creates comprehensive plans and resources to keep employees informed, engaged, and proud to be a part of the Block community.
You will:
Partner with the Business to understand opportunities and then design, drive, and deliver tactical and strategic change management packages that are beautiful, persuasive, and comprehensive
Build and drive effective organizational change strategies including partner management, organizational assessment, communication plans, etc. to ensure the ongoing success of our operating model
Develop high-quality and informative collateral materials and artifacts (e.g., decks, comms, web/slack posts, talking points) for use in specific communications initiatives and team events, as well as proactive and reactive communications, strategies, and tactics to support our programs
Identify needs and develop content to support, guide, and advise internal stakeholders and partners on strategy and tactics
Be able to effectively communicate to leadership the importance of listening to employees and making continuous improvements to the employee experience based on feedback
Develop expertise in stakeholder groups and individuals and leverage that understanding in execution of tasks
Establish rhythm of business (e.g., cadence, intent, and content to keep stakeholders informed and up to date) across communications channels, web, and events
Leverage insights to inform data-driven proactive approaches and set metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate project effectiveness at outset. Evaluate and adjust as needed based on feedback from surveys you conduct as well as] informal methods
Ensure alignment to corporate employee communications focus areas around building confidence in mission and strategy, accelerating culture change, and celebrating employees
Partner with Communications, M&A, HR, Payroll, Accounting, F&S, Tax, Treasury, and Technology teams
Qualifications
You have/are:
Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, Finance, or related field AND 8+ years Communications, Marketing Operations, Finance Operations, Program Management, and/or Project Management, with increasing levels of responsibility
Strong, confident presence and ability to communicate effectively with leadership. Must have well-developed facilitation and presentation skills to all levels of an organization
Detail-oriented self-starter who excels in clarifying ambiguous situations and enjoys crafting strategy & processes
Strong analytical abilities in order to accurately assess program needs and translate those into actionable recommendations
Outstanding writing skills with strength in reading the room and the ability to communicate to the needs of target audiences and translate sophisticated concepts into clear and concise messages
Thrives in fast-paced environments, is flexible, collaborative and deadline driven.
In-depth experience spanning finance, people and technology organizations.
Competence with leading cross-functional projects and teams
Motivated, upbeat, and enthusiastic: an ambitious thinker, driven, takes initiative yet works well with others.
