As a software engineer on the Inventory Accuracy team, you will be launching and maintaining critical features that help all Square sellers manage their inventory and make informed decisions for their businesses: our team’s mission is to create absolute trust in inventory.  We work closely with product, design and marketing to ensure we’re always taking a holistic approach to how best serve our merchants. 

Working on Android at Square is a unique opportunity in the mobile industry – you’ll get to work in one of the largest most established mobile ecosystems in existence – learning a lot from our large team of Android engineers in the process.

You Will:

• Help design, build, and maintain Square’s inventory system on our Point of Sale app

• Craft durable, well-tested code with an unwavering commitment to product quality

• Collaborate with product managers and designers to refine and define product scope and design

• Respond to customer feedback to improve our products

You Have:

• 4+ years of experience working in the Android ecosystem

• Proficiency in Java or Kotlin for development

• Eagerness to share your own ideas, and openness to those of others

• Experience partnering with iOS, Android, and Server engineers to ship features

• Experience partnering with product managers and designers to determine product scope

• Java or Kotlin for development, leveraging Square’s modern open source library, Workflow

• Compose, LeakCanary, RXJava, Dagger, Mortar, OkHTTP and more
