Job Description

Financial Services is a category within the organization that exists to bring financial freedom to all our customers, many of whom are excluded by traditional institutions. Our teams help customers from the moment they get paid to the moment they file their taxes, while helping them manage, save, spend, invest, provide, borrow, and learn about money along the way.

We are looking for a seasoned Product Design leader to lead the discipline for Cash App’s Financial Services team, which includes product verticals like Banking, Investing, Lending, Taxes, Families, and more. This hire would also join the leadership group responsible for the Financial Services organization, which is one of Cash App’s largest and most mature, and join the Product Design leadership team to help shape the discipline within the company.

As the Head of Design for Financial Services, you’ll also be responsible for recruiting and leading a team of talented product designers, fostering an environment for creativity and growth, facilitating connections across teams and disciplines, influencing the product vision at multiple altitudes, and driving positive customer and business outcomes.

  • Bias towards action with a high degree of self-sufficiency and ability to influence up and across disciplines.
  • Excellent communication, storytelling, and presentation skills.

Additional Information

Block takes a market-based approach to pay, and pay may vary depending on your location. U.S. locations are categorized into one of four zones based on a cost of labor index for that geographic area. The successful candidate’s starting pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions. These ranges may be modified in the future.

Zone A: USD $326,300 - USD $398,800
Zone B: USD $326,300 - USD $398,800
Zone C: USD $326,300 - USD $398,800
Zone D: USD $326,300 - USD $398,800

This role is also eligible to participate in Block's equity plan subject to the terms of the applicable plans and policies, and may be eligible for a sign-on bonus.
