Job Description

As an Operations Lead you’ll work on the Readiness team within the Cash Customer Operations (CCO) organization. CCO encompasses all customer facing teams along with those that support them. Readiness is a new function at Cash, focused on driving preparedness for growth initiatives that impact our CCO team. Growth initiatives are generally defined as global expansion, M&A efforts and other strategic bodies of work that drive the future of the business. 

In this role, you’ll lead a team of Launch Partners who execute on all tactical bodies of work to support Readiness growth initiatives. This includes but is not limited to: understanding CCO teams impacted by assigned growth initiative(s), identifying what process changes need to occur across CCO teams to support successful customer interactions, flagging tactical and process related concerns or items that need more discussion to ensure we can launch and scale as a business, etc.  

You will:

  • Have a pulse on all growth initiatives that impact the Cash Customer Operations (CCO) organization, deeply understanding the initiatives you and your team are responsible for driving 
  • Act as a player/coach in the early days of Readiness overall and through the growth of your team, to ensure you understand the tactical execution necessary for a growth initiative launch 
  • Create a framework for documentation of processes, best practices and learnings, to apply to future initiatives
  • Partner closely with leads across CCO to ensure there is clarity on handoffs, responsibilities and partnership related to Readiness growth initiatives. This is iterative and ever changing and is key to our trust and success across the organization  
  • Work with Readiness Launch Project Manager and Project Management Office (PMO) to drive alignment and optimizations on partnership between PM and Launch Partner roles
  • Align with leaders in similar roles across Block to learn best practices and make recommendations on how we apply them in CCO and Readiness  
  • Own optimizations and iteration to the Readiness playbook, based on your teams input as well as stakeholders across the business  

Qualifications

You have: 

  • 3+years people leadership experience or equivalent in high performing, strategic individual contributor role, preferably in the financial or technology industry 
  • Experience in the customer operations space, bonus if you have direct global expansion and/or M&A experience 
  • Comfortable managing up, down and across the organization to get work done 
  • High emotional intelligence with the ability to build trust and strong partnerships across the organization 
  • Comfortable with ambiguity, prioritizing where clarity is needed effectively, and consistently challenging how we optimize for scale 
  • Exceptional and proactive problem solver. Comfortable getting in the weeds if necessary to understand, explain, and solve a problem
  • Thoughtfully coach, motivate and inspire your growing team to top performers in the organization  
  • Experience with JIRA, Asana, Looker, Tableau, Google Suite, SFDC or similar
