Job Description
The Senior Lead for Business Technology leads the CCO Biztech team and collaborates with partner teams across the enterprise to optimize the infrastructure, architecture, and value of CCO’s business systems. Using your deep technical knowledge of SaaS applications, you will develop a robust and flexible methodology for analysis and decision making for use throughout the organization. In this role, you will lead multiple teams that work across service boundaries to solve complex business problems.
You will:
Set team mission, vision and charter for Biz Tech. Lead development of technical integration and interoperability strategy for CCO technologies and solutions that incorporates the entirety of the ecosystem
Accountable for leading the development of, and delivering on, the BizTech technical roadmap. Partner with other IS leaders to assure interoperability across the ecosystem and support the IS and partner roadmaps.
Clarify ownership and decision making for the team. Delegate ownership of tactical decision-making but maintain responsibility as tiebreaker when necessary.
Represent and be accountable for the technical output of the team, through professional experience and strong communication lines with senior technical staff.
Utilize technical expertise to assist BizTech leadership and technical staff in making decisions on new feature enhancements, evaluating new service offerings from vendors, and technical design considerations.
Mentor senior BizTech managers and staff on strategy, collaboration, influence, execution, and other aspects of leadership
Plan the growth of the Biz Tech organization and scale the team for maximum effectiveness
Oversee a portfolio of tactical and strategic initiatives for CCO, focusing on IS Business Applications
Oversee and partner with Service Delivery on operational, project and program budget and cost, resource allocation, and reallocations. Ensure that investments and programs services align with organizational strategy and priorities
Establish and monitor value metrics to make informed decisions that maximize returns across organizational projects and programs
Establish and be accountable for BizTech’s performance metrics. Seek out opportunities for improvements and bring people along to enhance the quality of services provided by the teams.
Qualifications
10+ years of technical management experience, including software development teams and/or engineering teams
Demonstrated experience overseeing and deriving the greatest value from SaaS platforms such as Salesforce, and WFM, LMS, and QA tools
Experience integrating and mitigating interoperability issues of multiple SaaS platforms and internally developed tooling.
Experience in financial management and organizational change management
Planning and leadership skills, including the ability set direction and approach, resolve conflict, communicate tough messages with grace
Demonstrated experience developing strategic performance indicators, holding yourself and team members accountable for meeting and exceeding goals.
Experience building and leading integrated teams from multiple organizations across multiple sites. Preference given to someone with global experience.
Demonstrated ability to promote creative ideas and accept the risks that are required to lead change
Competency in project management, governance formulation, and team management
Working knowledge of risk mitigation strategies, standards, and policies formulation
Bachelor’s degree required, Master’s degree preferred
Salesforce certification preferred

Block takes a market-based approach to pay, and pay may vary depending on your location. U.S. locations are categorized into one of four zones based on a cost of labor index for that geographic area. The successful candidate’s starting pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions. These ranges may be modified in the future.
Zone A: USD $184,100 - USD $225,000
Zone B: USD $174,900 - USD $213,700
Zone C: USD $165,700 - USD $202,500
Zone D: USD $156,400 - USD $191,200
