The Cash App Network Operations Team is responsible for building and managing a scalable payments ecosystem for a fast growing mobile payment app with multiple external and internal partners. Reporting to the Payment Optimization Lead, you’ll be responsible for driving operational excellence and continuous improvement activities for funds movement into and out of the Cash App ecosystem. 

You will work collaboratively with our business, product, data science, and customer operations partners to innovate, problem solve, and report out compelling narratives and utilizing data. You’ll build data backed business cases that will influence team strategies within Cash App. 

Your objective will be to help us ensure our ecosystem of money movement is optimized for merchant and customer success, while exploring new innovative solutions that position Cash App for future success and growth. 

You will:

• Analyze, develop, and deploy sophisticated payment cost and performance optimization strategies across Cash for Business and Cash App Pay. Develop and execute actionable insights to drive positive impact to the business.
• Partnering with analytics and data science, identify opportunities and risks from our payments data to provide clear solutions and a respected feedback loop. 
• Design and monitor KPIs and reporting that capture deep insights on payment processing, including both industry standard reporting as well as Cash-specific metrics.
• Be a subject matter expert in merchant payments, helping Cash App keep tabs on regulatory and network changes that impact our business. 
• Partner and collaborate internally across multiple stakeholders to scope, influence, and drive implementation of new payment ideas and opportunities. 
• Use data and expertise to build compelling narratives that communicate ideas and opportunities to gain buy in and build alignment, with both internal and external partners. 
• Be a proactive executor and have a bias to action, working autonomously and with our engineering partners to jump into the details and problem solve.

You have:

• 8+ years of payments operations experience within a marketplace, PSP, acquirer, or network.
• Strong understanding of the end-to-end payments ecosystem, including payment methods, card networks, acquiring and processing, and the regulatory environment. 
• Experience working cross-functionally with Product, Compliance, Legal, Risk, and Engineering to identify, evaluate, and size opportunities in order to effectively prioritize work.
• Experience driving continuous improvement projects, where you’ve applied deep knowledge to uncover and execute both short and long term optimizations.
• Exposure to and experience working with multiple external partners in the payments supply chain. 
• Strong business analytic skills, including the ability to use data to drive and influence business requirements
• Excellent business acumen, communication skills, and self starting attitude.
• Familiarity with analytics platforms (Tableau, Looker), expert in a spreadsheet (Google Docs, Excel), and SQL skills greatly preferred.
