This role is a Finance Business Partner to the North American sales team. The role will be influential in providing commercial and financial insights and decision support for Afterpay’s go-to-market efforts. 

• Prepare financial models and scenario analysis to support decision making on customers, merchants, pricing and commercial deal terms

• Partner with the sales team to set and measure KPIs, analyze business performance, and perform trend analysis

• Identify key market trends, changing customer requirements and competitor activity and make recommendations

• Work with business leaders to develop robust business cases and profitability assessments 

• Drive financial analysis to support business partners in budgeting, forecasting and reporting 

• Develop, automate, and produce management reports

• Partner with the broader finance team to ensure best practice reporting and analysis processes are in place

• Perform ad hoc analysis to support sales leadership

• 5+ years of professional experience including 3 years of experience as a finance business partner and/or in an analyst role in either an investment bank or management consulting firm

• Advanced financial modeling skills

• Experience in forecasting, financial analysis and understanding key performance indicators 

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, Economics or related business/quantitative field

• Strong communication skills, detail oriented, and can work in flexible environments 

• Ability to be adaptable and work with ambiguity

• Experience with data analytics software such as Tableau is a plus

• Experience in a payments/technology company or experience partnering with a Sales team is a plus
