Video Editor
- Full-time
Company Description
Today, we’re a partner to sellers of all sizes – large, enterprise-scale businesses with complex commerce operations, sellers just starting out, as well as merchants who began selling with Square and have grown larger over time. As our sellers scale, so do our solutions. We all grow together.
There is a massive opportunity in front of us. We’re building a business that is big, meaningful, and lasting. And we are helping sellers around the world do the same.
Job Description
The creative team is looking for a talented editor with a creative eye, logistical mind, and the ability to build videos at volume for our internal Demand Generation team. We create performance marketing content for all our products and software, and creative testing has been an awesome and powerful lever as we welcome sellers big and small to the Square community. We are working to create hundreds of assets every quarter with this program.
Each video we create for the Demand Gen Program includes product shots with UI being front and center. Our program follows very specific motion + brand guidelines, you will work within those parameters when doing all work.

You are a visual language problem solver.
As a Video Editor, you have the experience, patience, proficiency, and organizational skills to build performance marketing video assets from the ground up, as we build an infrastructure to maintain our large volume of work. You are a post-production pro that can wear many hats and can work with footage, graphics, UI, animations, and more. You can dive deep into the nitty gritty to address feedback and deliver on time. You will collaborate with editors, GFX artists, and producers daily to get video assets across the finish line.
You Will:
- Lead the delivery of performance marketing edits that stay true to the creative vision and meet all technical requirements
- Collaborate with the Post Producers, Producer, and In-House Post Production Artists throughout the post-production process
- Take ownership of performance marketing internal editing from start to finish
- Communicate project updates, concerns, and ideas to the Post Producer
Qualifications

- Extensive knowledge of the overall video/film production process
- Comfortable working in Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Media Encoder, and Resolve
- Solid aesthetic sensibilities – Layout, typography, arrangement, etc
- Social media experience - Formatting for 1x1, 9x16, 4x5 for IG, FB, Twitter, TikTok, etc.
- Communicate effectively in both verbal and written mediums
- Experience with product marketing, commercial, and informational formats
Even Better:
- Experience working on performance marketing
- Experience working in or for ad agencies or post-houses
- Comfortable working with audio editing tools such as Pro Tools, Sound Forge, Audition, etc.
